The 2014 Red Bull Air Race World Championship was in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Abu Dhabi was the first station of this year’s championship. The two-day event featured 12 pilots from the world.
In a stunt of the championship, the pilots maneuvered their planes to pass a “gate” 15 to 25 meters above the ground at a speed of 370 kilometers per hour. Defending champion Paul Bonhomme from UK kept his title.
The Red Bull Air Race World Championship began in 2003. This year, the race is scheduled to be held in eight stations including UAE, Croatia, Malaysia, UK, Poland, U.S. and China, ending in November.
