46 Indian fishermen who were in Sri Lankan custody have been released. These Indian fishermen from Rameshwaram and Podukkottai had strayed into Sri Lankan waters from 11 boats. As a result they were apprehended by the Sri Lankan Navy. These Indian fishermen were detained in the Jaffna prison following Court orders. They were produced in the Kayts and Mannar Courts yesterday. These 46 fishermen were ordered to be handed over to the Indian Navy. The ruling on the seizure of the boats from these fishermen are due to be given tomorrow.
