The Health Department has stressed that the law will be enforced to the letter against those who maintain mosquito breeding grounds. The drive in search of such mosquito breeding grounds is still being carried out.
Action has been taken to prosecute 637 persons who had been maintaining mosquito breeding grounds. The detections were made during the last two days. They are dwellers within the Colombo Municipal Council authority areas.
The Health Ministry has underlined the need for public contribution and dedication to the dengue eradication programme.
