DV Upul granted bail
The provincial council member of the southern provincial council D.V. Upul who was remanded by the Chief Magistrate
Gihan Pilapitiya for the offence of possessing a illegal passport and for threatening the police personnel of the FCID has made a bail application through his lawyers today the 15th instant.Accordingly he had been granted bail by the Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya with rupees twenty five thousand cash and two body sureties with rupees ten lakhs each.
