J.H Jayawardena passes away
The renowned actor and producer of radio programmes J.H.Jayawardena has passed away
today at his residence in Kandana.He was 94 years old. He had been suffering from ‘glaucoma’ decease from the year 1997.The renowned actor J.H.Jayawardena had become blind from the ‘glaucoma’ decease.
He had acted in several films such as ‘Adishtanaya’,’Handaya’ and ‘Dayama’and had acted in stage drama’s like ‘Kelani Palama’and ’Makarakshaya’.He became very popular when he portrayed the character of ‘Loku Appachchi’’ in the ‘Hiruta Muwawen’ Tele drama when he became a famous among the audiences.
His last rites would be conducted at the Welisara public cemetery on the 04th afternoon.
