UPFA Alliance was lifted and dashed on the ground by President’s statement - SB
The Minister of rural affairs S. B. Dissanayake had said that the statement that was made by the President Maithripala Sirisena was
somewhat similar to that the United Peoples Freedom Alliance party was lifted and dashed on the ground.However he had vouched for the fact the supporters would not allow the party to split and all efforts would be made to unite the former President and the present President.
He also had added that the position of the leadership of the committee appointed to look into the operations of the general election from the UPFA was given to former President Mahinda Rajapaksa by the present President Maithriplala Sirisena.
These views were expressed by the Minister S.B.Dissanayake while addressing a party members meeting in Udunuwara.
