Former Transport Minister Kumara Welgama was summoned to the Police Financial Crimes Investigations Division. Kumara Welgama was summoned to the FCID to record a statement with regard to the misuse of Sri Lanka Transport Board buses during the previous regime. It is reported that statements were recorded for a period of nearly three hours.
