Thajudeen’s death case was unearthed because of me-Former IGP NK Illangakoon
The former Inspector General of Police NK llangakoon had refuted all news published in web sites and certain media stating that he should be held responsible for the case of famous Rugby Player Wasim Thajudeen’s death which was confirmed as after an accident.
Former IGP NK Illangakoon had said in response to these news published against him that it was he
who after seen the report of the then senior deputy inspector of general with certain red marks had wanted the case be referred to the criminal investigating unit.The former IGP had added that in spite of his steps taken in that manner it was incorrect for people to accuse him in connection with the report on Wasim Thajudeen’s death. The former IGP had requested the government to take action against those people who had said he had not tried to unearth the case during his tenure.
