Kiribathkumbura hotel owner shot through bag!
A man who entered a restaurant with a helmet in Kiribathkumbura, Nanu Oya, Peradeniya had shot a businessman who had been at the cashier's counter and had killed him.
One person who had been accompanied by another
had come on a motor cycle at about 9.30 in the night of 26th Friday and had fired these gun shots. The assailant had hidden the pistol in a bag of his and had fired at the deceased; however the shop was not plundered in the process. The murder scene had been automatically recorded on cctv cameras of the shop and in cctv cameras of a nearby shop, the police said.The police have launched investigations in search of the suspects. The 30 year old deceased businessman is supposed to be a resident of Pilimatalawa and it is assumed that this murder would have been committed over a personal dispute. Cctv scenes, from below
