The Supreme Court of Sri Lanka has informed Parliament that it cannot give a decision on the Value Added Tax (Amendment) Bill as it was not presented following due procedure. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe announced that judicial authority was vested in Parliament. As such the Prime Minister requested Speaker Karu Jayasuriya to give a decision
