Because of Traffic congestion's Government office hours to be made from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm.
A proposal is under consideration in order to ease the traffic congestion that is prevalent daily on working days in Colombo and suburban area to make the working hours in government departments from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm.
It has been proposed by the authorities of the ministry of transport,highways and Megapolis and
western development after their discussions to have the working hours in the government offices in Battaramulla to be from 9.30 am instead of 8.00 am. and 5.30 pm instead of 4 pm.The approval in this regard is to be obtained shortly .
