Udarata Amarapura Maha Nikaya Mahanayake Thera the Most Ven. Theripehe Somananda Thera has passed away
The death has occurred of the Mahanayake of the Udarata Amarapura Maha Nikaya, the Most Ven. Theripehe Somananda Thera. Arrangements have been finalized for the conduct of the funeral with state honours on Monday. The Mahanayake who was born in the Theripehe village at Walapone in Nuwara Eliya entered the Sasana on 16th August 1939.
