Blast in Diyatalawa passenger bus carrying group of army officers
A passenger bus travelling towards Bandarawela and coming from Jaffna to Diyatalawa early this morning (20) has suddenly exploded and had caught fire in the process. As a result, 19 persons inside the bus have sustained injuries and admitted to
Diyatalawa Hospital. The reason for the blast and fire that broke out following the blast has still not been revealed as such.It was revealed that the majority of passengers were army and air force personnel. The army media spokesman said that the number of army officers so injured were altogether 12 in number.
