How Rajitha bought 7 ships by extracting teeth Wimal fails O/L; celebrates elder sister's daughter's wedding ... -- mud-slinging in parliament during course of debate on national crisis (video) Basing instability in the government as the subject, the United Opposition debate took place last afternoon in parliament on a special request made by them. At the very outset of the debate there was an incident of both Wimal, member of parliament and minister Rajitha entering into an argument in a manner which obstructed Wimal's speech. This is what Wimal initially said: "Why dosthara mahatthayo ... ei newo ... ei newo ... 7 ships ... these master frauds are shouting horu, horu ... isn't it a shame ... Rajitha who bought ships after extracting teeth!" Then when it came to Rajitha's turn, at the time he read out some news over his smart phone and tabled the news, Wimal began obstructing his avenger. Rajitha then responded saying: "This person doesn't know technology because he has failed his O/Ls. Ask him to show his O/L certificate. Though he went to Tissa Maha Vidyalaya ... he hasn't passed". In turn Wimal replied saying that if it could be proved that he has failed his O/Ls, he would resign from his position as member of parliament the following day itself. Subsequently what Rajitha said was that though he sat for the O/L; has not done the A/Ls and that he may have just passed his O/L in just 6 subjects for that matter, ending up by saying that he could not do the A/ls because he failed. Later Rajitha brought up another topic: "Are there m.p.s of the beggar-type like this in government ... celebrating elder sister's daughter's wedding with government funds? It was proved in parliament also. It's in the hansard". In response to this, Wimal hastened to respond: "These are all lies ... if proved ... I'll resign from my position".

Basing instability in the government as the subject, the United Opposition debate took place last afternoon in parliament on a special request made by them.

At the very outset of the debate there was an incident of both Wimal, member of parliament and
minister Rajitha entering into an argument in a manner which obstructed Wimal's speech.
