The number of lives lost during the 30 years of terrorism is difficult to account for.
The dark memories of these incidents will prove to the world the brutality of LTTE terrorism. Thirtieth November 1984 was a day that the tiger terrorists went on a rampage creating shockwaves through the country. They entered the Dollar Farm village early morning and hacked to death 33 innocent villages who were in no way connected to the war, displaying their brutality to the world. Another group of tigers entered the Kent Farm village and ruthlessly killed 29 innocent villagers including women and children in cold blood. On 30th November 1987 three soldiers were killed when the LTTE shelled Muttur area. It was on a similar day in year 2000 that the tiger terrorists attacked the Salamperu area and killed 4 soldiers. On the same day 8 soldiers were killed by the LTTE in a land mine explosion triggered by them in Piramanankulam. Two soldiers lost their lives when the tigers launched an attack on Nayaru area. The LTTE had killed a total of 86 persons on this day including 64 innocent civilians and 20 members of the security forces. Had President Mahinda Rajapaksa in his capacity as the Commander In Chief of the security forces, not put a stop to terrorism, the LTTE would have destroyed the entire country. At present certain forces are up in arms against the President, the Defence Secretary and the gallant soldiers who ushered in freedom to the entire world by eliminating such terrorism. Certain treacherous forces in the country are assisting this western agenda against the motherland. Britain took 40 years to release a report on the killing of 13 innocent civilians. The US took 49 years to produce a report on the ruthless killing of 500 north Korean citizens in 1950. It is ironical that a report is sought from Sri Lanka before the completion of 4 years after eliminating the most ruthless terrorism in the world. This record is meant to prove the LTTE brutality to the world which is difficult to be forgotten.
