Minister Rauf Hakeem has expressed optimism that immediate solutions can be found to many issues prevailing in the business sector with the opening of the International Arbitration Centre.
The Minister was addressing the Eighth Annual Convention of the Association of Lawyers engaged in employment. Complexity has surfaced in the business sector with the developments taking place at present. Accordingly, the Minister said that the task of lawyers engaged in employment was also expanding. The International Arbitration Centre has the capability of taking immediate solutions on matters including the breach of agreements.
Minister Rauf Hakeem revealed that it would be established within the first quarter of next year. Chief Justice Mohan Peiris and Attorney General Palitha Fernando were among those present on the occasion.
