More Projects under Deyata Kirula

More projects are being launched under the 2014 Deyata Kirula national development programme.


36 Rural Maternity Clinics are being established to further expand the health services provided for the people living in very remote areas in the Kegalla District. The expenditure to be incurred on this programme is 432 million rupees. The grants are being provided by the Economic Development Ministry. Construction of the first maternity clinic at Galbokka in the Aranayake electorate commenced under the auspices of Deputy Minister Lalith Dissanayake.

In the meantime, a programme has also been launched to construct 36 Maternity and Child Clinic buildings in the Kegalle District. The construction of the first such building within the Dedigama electorate recently commenced under the patronage of the Sabaragamuwa Chief Minister Mahipala Herath.
