The Prime Minister of Pakistan has sought Sri Lanka’s support to uproot terrorism from Pakistan.
Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Shariff has made this appeal when Deputy Speaker Chandima Weerakkody attended the Sixth Asian Parliamentary conference, representing Sri Lanka. The conference was held in Islamabad. Prime Minister Nawaz Shariff has sought military strategies and methods used by Sri Lanka to uproot terrorism. Mr. Sharif who requested Sri Lanka to take initiatives for the Sri Lankan cricketers to play in Pakistan assuring that the necessary security to the cricketers will be accorded via a Special Committee.
Speaker of Pakistan Sardar Ayaz Sadiq who met the Sri Lankan Deputy Speaker praised reconciliation in Sri Lanka. Emphasis was laid on the strengthening of friendship between the Parliaments of the two countries.
