Minister Susil Premajayantha revealed in Parliament today that the Western Provincial Council will be dissolved within two weeks. He emphasized that the United National Party will not win the Western Province whatever Leadership Councils were established.
The Minister said that Leadership Councils had been established to take over power, and as to where such Councils prevail in the world. There is only one Leader and there are no Leadership Councils. He emphasized that if there were even 100 Leadership Councils, the Freedom Alliance will win the polls. He announced that the dissolution will take place within two weeks and challenged the Opposition to try and win.
The Minister said that every community is being represented in the Government. The Nuwara Eliya District was won with a majority of 98,000 votes and the percentage was 70 percent.
