A firearm manufacturing facility has been detected in a house in Atampitiya, Badulla.
Police seized a stock of weapons and arrested the main suspect. The Atampitiya Police carried out the raid on a tip off. Police seized a haul of weapons including a T-56 firearm, and 25 rounds of ammunition. Police said that the investigations will be continued into the information provided by the suspect. The OIC of the Atampitiya Police T.M. Karunatillake said that operations will be launched to track down those who purchased weapons.
