The first patrol vessel gifted by Australia to the Sri Lanka Navy has arrived at the Colombo Port yesterday. The Bay Class boat was ceremonially welcomed in accordance with naval traditions on arrival. It is 38.2 meters long and has a 2.3 metre draught. With a maximum speed of 24 knots, the boat can cover a range of 3,000 nautical miles. Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage and Australian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Robyn Mudie were present.
