Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena has been elected as Vice-President of the World Health Organization. The World Health Organization Conference opened in Geneva, Switzerland today.
A President and a Vice President of the World Health Organization for the next two years were elected at the meeting which opened under the patronage of its Director General Margaret Chang.
Accordingly Minister Maithripala Sirisena who is attending the meeting representing Sri Lanka has been elected as the Vice President of the Organization.
