Pasindu Matheesha has been crowned as the ITN Supiri Hapana.
ITN organized Supiri Hapana reality programme to mould children with many talents. There were problems related to quality and standards of reality programmes produced by various channels. The Supiri Hapana competition which commenced amidst many opinions, was able to attract the positive response from the parents and children. About 6,000 took part in the first round and 100 were selected for the second round. 40 were qualified for the quarter final round. Eight children who were outstanding in singing, dancing and general knowledge, selected for the final round. The final round was held at the B.M.I.CH. with a participation of a large gathering. Pasindu Matheesha of Henegama Central College was crowned as Supiri Hapana. The first runner-up was Sajini Jayanethi of Thalawathugoda Vidura College. Vimukthi Abhiman of Gampaha St. Peters College won the third place. He was also selected as the most popular Hapana. Parliamentarian A.H.M. Azwar and Chairman of ITN Rosmand Senaratne presented awards and certificates for the winners. Mass Media Ministry Secretary Charitha Herath, Parliamentarian Manusha Nanayakkara, General Manager of ITN Aruna Wijesinghe and a large gathering were present to view the final round.
