The Rice Dansala is being organized this year too at Temple Trees in parallel to the Buddha Rashmi Wesak Zone. The Dansala is also being held today.
This Dansala was declared open by President Rajapaksa. It has been organized for the benefit of the Wesak sightseers descending upon Colombo to view pandals, lanterns and illuminations. The Dansala is being organized for the fourth occasion. It will operate until Monday the 19th. The Dansala opens daily at 7.00 p.m.
President Rajapaksa after opening the Dansala joined in serving food to the public. Many Parliamentarians also supported him.
