A new website has been launched to secure public complaints on missing persons. The purpose of the launch of this website is for the Presidential Commission inquiring into missing persons to secure complaints from the public. The website www.pcicmp.lk was launched by Chairman of the Presidential Commission Maxwell Parakrama Paranagama.It is possible to get vital information with respect to the powers of the Presidential Commission, the strategy of lodging complaints, the dates of inquiries and the inquiry process. Accordingly the public can make their complaints with regard to persons who have gone missing from the North and East during the period 1983 to 2009. Accordingly individuals within the country and abroad are able to provide information to the Presidential Commission through this website. Meanwhile, the Presidential Commission said that inquiries with respect to complains on missing persons within the Batticaloa, Kattankudi and Manmunaipattu areas will be carried out next month.
