Sri Lankans who have won the essay competition of the Commemoration of Vietnam’s First President can tour Vietnam. The presentation of prizes and certificates to those who won the Memorial Essay competition held in Sri Lanka on behalf of the 124th Birth Anniversary of Vietnam’s first President Ho Chi Minh were presented at the Public Library Auditorium. These activities were organized under the guidance of the Vietnamese Embassy. Senior Ministers Dew Gunasekara and A.H.M. Fowzie, Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara, Colombo Mayor A.J.M. Muzammil and Vietnam’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka Ton Sinh Thanh were present at this function. Upeka Chamodhi Ratnayake and S.T.M.N. Gunasinghe who won the first and second places respectively were awarded cash prizes. In addition they will be given an opportunity to tour Vietnam. They will be extended facilities to visit many places of interest in Vietnam including the Ho Chi Minh Museum. They will be visiting Vietnam next month.
