Criticism because President's son ....
was made to sit at Assembly
It is noted that by now criticism is hailed at President Maithripala Sirisena for escorting his son Daham Sirisena to the United Nations General Assembly this year which is being held in America
What is inferred by much of these criticisms is that the procedure of combining members of the family of Rajapaksa for diplomatic activities during their regime which existed prior to last January 8th has not seen a change, which incidentally is something that is not anticipated.
The President's Media Spokesman has notified BBC that Daham Sirisena has been asked to join on this tour as a member of the President's staff and for the reason that the President's wife did not join on this journey he was made to join as a member of the family, it was explained. Whatever it is, he had mentioned that unlike during the time of Rajapaksa Rule the expenditure on this tour is at a minimum level and that the team who participated was only 32 in all. During the session when the President went to meet the Indian Premier Narendra Modi the President's son too had been escorted. Therefore a justified suspicion has arisen in the minds of the public as to whether this is an effort launched to make Daham Sirisena a future politician.
By now this criticism has been published in the form of comments directly in the Facebook Pages of both Daham Sirisena and President Maithri and published below are some such ideas:
