The Government has decided to launch an emergency Pre-Hospital Care Ambulance Service within Sri Lanka with assistance from the Indian Government. India had agreed to provide a grant of 7.6 million US Dollars during the Indian tour of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe for the launch of the first stage entering the Western and Southern Provinces.
