Wimal who was arrested and given bail handed over his passport
The other day the Member of Parliament Wimal Weerawansa had been arrested on the 24th instant by the customs for possessing two
passports one of which had expired when he was to board a plane at the Bandaranaike International airport .He was released on bail and had been requested to be present at the Negombo magistrate courts today the 28th instant to collect his passport.As a result of this passport conflict his proposed visit to Europe had to be postponed. The related passport had been handed over to him.
