This had been stated by the Minister of Law and Order after a special discussion was held at the Pathgama divisional secretarial office on the afternoon of 06th instant presided by the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe.

It had been discussed and come to a decision not to house a arms depot at a place with residents in the vicinity. The remaining arms had been removed to army camps in the Anuradhapura and Rambewa areas.It is reported that only 10 percent of the arms of the army had been stored at Salawa Kosgama.
