When Thevarapperuma attempted to commit suicide Principal consents to admit all 10 children
Deputy Minister Palitha Thevarapperuma had commenced a satygraha on top of his cab vehicle parked opposite the Zonal educational office in Matugama.His protest was to accommodate 10 children to Grade 1 of the Matugama Meegahatenna primary school.
His satyagraha campaign was to end today the 30th instant with a death threat. He had got on to a chair and hung his neck on to a ceiling fan.If the chair was taken away he neck
would get strangled and death would have resulted.However before the chair was removed the authorities of the education office had promised to admit the 10 children to the Matugama Meegahatenna primary school. With it he had stopped his fast unto death protest campaign.
It is reported as his health condition was not sound he had been taken to a hospital for a check up and treatment. With the courtesy of the officials of the United National Party Palitha Thevarapperuma is to shown to a consultant psychiatric.
