Elmo of BBC Sandeshaya passes away
The Colombo reporter of the BBC sandeshaya programme renowned journalist Elmo Fernando has passes away at the age of 75 years. He had been away from the BBC Sandeshaya programme for a short time as he was ill.
Elmo Fernando had been a reporter to the Sri Lanka Broadcasting
Corporation for a number of years. He had been also a announcer and a programme producer at the SLBC.After his tenure at the SLBC he had represented “Veritas” radio and to the BBC sandeshaya service in year 1989 at a time of a insurrection period in the country.
