Embilipitiya Sumith's wife still confronts obstacles-Prime Minister to intervene
In last January an incident that created an uproar in the country was in the manner Embilipitiya Sumith Prasnna Jayawardena met with his death.The widow of the deceased Shanika Nishamani Munasinghe had requested for her security as she still confronts obstacles.A request has been made to the Prime Minister Ranil
Wickremasinghe in this regard.In this regard the Prime Minister has informed the Inspector General of Police in writing. Sumith Prasanna Jayawardena and his wife had attended to a wedding held in a building in the Embilipitiya town.During the wedding party a clash had taken place between two factions Sumith Prasanna Jayawardena had succumbed.The Assistant superintend of Police who was arrested in this case has now been released and he is attached to his former base.
The other suspects who have not been taken into custody..It is reported that from factions she is been pressurized causing her to live in fear.She had addressed a letter on the 19th of September seeking redress as hers and the two daughters there is threats to their lives.
She has said that mobile traders ,three wheeler drivers and others come in disguise to see the place she is living.They have asked particulars of her from the neighbours.This matter has made her to live in fear and hence the importance of her security has been surfaced.
