A probe to find caused of deaths at National hospital after heart surgery
It is reported that 06 patients had been operated on for heart ailments on the 28th instant at the National Hospital.Out of them 04 patiens had died after completion of the respective surgeries,.
In this regard under the instructions of the Minister of Health and indigenous medicine Dr Rajitha
Senaratna a three member committee has been appointed to probe to find the cause for these deaths.Accordingly the Director General of Health Services Consultant Physician Palitha Maheepala has appointed a three member committee comprising of the the Deputy Director General of Health Services Dr Lakshmi C.Somathinga,Director of Laboratory Services JHMKKB Kamal Jayasinghe and Senior Assistant Secretary urgent roundup Rohana de Silva have been appointed.
It is reported that in regard to these deaths reports have to be submitted on the 30th instant to the health ministry.
