Conspiratory list of Keppitipola Adikaram is oust instead new 19 heroes named
The 1818 upcountry revolt was masterminded by Keppitipola Adikaram and some others had been considered as state traitors.The governor at that time Robert Brownri had published a list of heroes via a gazette. On a request made to the Minister of Justice and Buddha Sasana Wijedasa Rajapaksa a recommendation paper had been presented to the

On the 10th January 1818 by gazette No 851,19 persons have been named a national heroes.It is reported that these names have been named state traitors.About this there had been numerous discussions and debates.The minister of Justice had said that this needs to be rectified.
