The Police used tear gas and water cannons to disperse a protest staged by the Inter University Students Federation neglecting a Court order. It happened at the Kollupitiya Junction. The Kollupitiya Junction had to be kept closed due the protest march organized by the Inter University Students Federation and the Medical Faculty Students Action Committee.
