Lightning fast bowling from Mitchell Johnson on a hail-hit ground helped Australia to a 381-run win over England with a day to spare in the Ashes series opener. Johnson took five wickets as Australia dismissed England for 179 in the second innings. It was a first victory in 10 tests for Australia after losing a series 4-0 in India and another in England 3-0 this year, and a first win in eight Ashes contests since the Perth test in 2010.
