Minister Dilan Perera has stated in Parliament that special tax concessions are being considered to be provided to expatriate workers when motor vehicles are being imported.
He said that the duty free ceiling will also be increased from 5000 to 7000 dollars with regard to expatriate workers. He said that a 10% discount on imported cars is being considered with regard to high income earners. The duty free ceiling is also being considered for the benefit of the remaining.
