A new school has been constructed at a cost of 32 million rupees and declared open.
The school has been built at Bandaranaikepura at Vanathavilluwa within the Puttalam Educational Zone. The opening of this new Junior School took place under the auspices of Minister Piyankara Jayaratne. The school has been put up with contributions from the state as well as parents and philanthropists. A business of the area had provided the land to build the school.
The school consists of two classroom buildings and an office. Deputy Minister Victor Anthony and Northwestern Provincial Education Minister Sandhya Kumara Rajapaksa were present at the opening of the school.
