Sri Lanka’s spinners spun a web around New Zealand’s batsmen to win the rain-hit third and final one-day international in Dambulla and draw the series 1-1. Tillakaratne Dilshan hit 53 and put on 91 for the first wicket with Mahela Jayawardene. The Black Caps, set a Duckworth-Lewis target of 216 in 33 overs, were 126-6 in 25 overs when bad light ended play. The tourists, who should have been 162 at that stage, were declared losers by 36 runs as per the D/L method to determine rain-affected matches.. New Zealand will round off their short two-week tour with two Twenty20 internationals in Pallekele on November 19th and 21st .
