Meanwhile Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said that the operations will be continued to arrest drunk drivers.
He said 1306 persons were arrested in the operation that was carried out from 6.00pm on the 24th to 6.00am today.
During the last 24 hours 246 persons were arrested.
The operation will continue round the clock until the 5th of this month covering all Police divisions. He said that more Police personnel will be deployed from tomorrow to the 1st of January.
