Measures are being taken to prepare a Public Relations Plan with regard to the kidney disease prevailing in the north-central province.
A media briefing was held in Anuradhapura to raise awareness in the people and to prepare a Public Relations
Plan. The media briefing was held under the patronage of Dr. Asanka Ranasinghe, head of the kidney disease control unit in the north-central province. The media briefing was planned by the research team of Public and Media Relations of the Mass Media Department at the Kelaniya University. It was revealed that a welfare programme has been launched for the welfare of the families that have been affected due to the kidney disease.
