The Indian Prime Minister mediates in finding a solution to the Indo-Sri Lanka fisheries issue.
Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has decided to deliberate the fisheries issue that has surfaced between India and Sri Lanka with the Tamil Nadu Government within this week. Expressing views to the Indian media, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has emphasized that he will leave no room for the issue of the violation of territorial water limits to develop into a social and political crisis. He was optimistic that his mediation would lead for fisheries representatives of India and Sri Lanka to reach a mutual agreement.
