Police have taken into custody a suspect at Panangala with one thousand rupee counterfeit notes. Police have been able to arrest him at Eppala-Panangala on a tip-off received by Galle Udugama Police Intelligence Unit. Police have seized five hundred notes from the possession of the suspect. Police said that there were nineteen court cases being heard in various courts, against the suspect. Three days earlier, Police arrested two more suspects in Panangala.
