Students in Municipal limits allowed to sit the GCE Advanced Level from a school in Chilaw
Principal in school in Chilaw nabbed for allowing 20 students to sit from his school Knowing that it is advantageous to sit from a rural school for the University entrance competitive examination where the Z score component is less and as the chances to enter a University is greater these students had
opted to sit the examination from a school in Chilaw, obviously the Principal in that school has assisted in this endeavour.In this regard the Principal of a school under the Chilaw Educational division has been caught. The 20 students who had sat the examination are from schools in congenial districts like Matara, Galle, Gampaha, Colombo and Kurunegala districts. The paper work for sitting the examination had been done and manipulated by the Principal of the Chilaw educational division principal of NT/Kottaramulla Al-hira Muslim Vidyalaya.
These students had been allowed to sit for the maths and science streams for the Advanced Level this year. The Wyamba district director of education Sandya Kumara Rajapaksa has revealed that investigations would be carried out against this Principal.
It is also reported that these 20 students would be enlisted with their respective schools in the related districts when results are released.
