More than two million 560 thousand had visited the Deyata Kirula National Exhibition up to midnight yesterday. The number of visitors yesterday alone stood at nearly 626 thousand. These statistics were disclosed by Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya at a news briefing held at the Deyata Kirula Exhibition grounds this afternoon.
The Minister said that there had been 625,960 visitors from morning until midnight yesterday. It is also a record in the Deyata Kirula history. It was the highest number that had visited the Exhibition in a day. This displays the trust placed by the people in Sri Lanka’s journey towards becoming Asia’s Wonder as enunciated in the Mahinda Chinthana.
The total number of visitors to the Exhibition since its opening was two million 562 thousand and six by midnight yesterday. Minister Siyambalapitiya said tomorrow is the final day. They are confident that this Deyata Kirula Exhibition will record the highest number of visitors. The Prime Minister will be the Chief Guest tomorrow. The Minister added that the special Guest of Honour will be the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence and Urban Development Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
