The Kosgama Police have arrested a gang linked to many crimes and robberies.
The gang was arrested in respect of looting a shop in the Kosgama area. During interrogation it was revealed that this gang had committed murders, looted cash and jewellery and even stolen vehicles. The Kosgama Police said that a woman is among this five member gang and that they are addicted to casino.
The Police have taken into their custody a motor vehicle, a motorbike. Gold jewellery, firearms and mobile phones. After being produced before the Avissawella Magistrate’s Court, the suspects were ordered to be remanded for further grilling.
