The Independent Television Network organized a day long special programme marking International Women’s Day.
The Special Liya Waruna programme arranged by ITN was held at Kurunegala throughout today. It was organized to mark today’s International Women’s Day. Its inauguration was held with the participation of Minister Jayaratne Herath. Northwestern Governor Tissa Balalla, Chief Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara, and Kurunegala Mayor Gamini Peramunage.
Various programmes presented by beauty therapists, chefs and handicraft artistes were part of the programme. A highlight was the bridal show. The event drew to a close with the selection of the Liya Waruna Queen.
