The Police have rounded up an illegal weapons storage facility at Thihagoda in Matara.
The Thihagoda Police carried out the raid last night. They recovered firearms, ammunition and explosives.
A suspect has been arrested.
Inquiries are in place to determine whether any of the firearms produced at this facility had been used to commit any crime.
