36 graduate nurses have been recruited to the Nursing Service for the first time in Sri Lanka.
The handing over of appointment to the graduate nurses took place at the Colombo National Hospital under the patronage of Minister Maithripala Sirisena. Although the age limit has passed, action was initiated to recruit graduate nurses to the health service with the special approval of the Cabinet of Ministers.
In addition the Health Minister handed over appointments to 63 more nurses today.
